Morgiana

Anyone who has read Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves knows that the servant girl, Morgiana is the true heroine of the story. Without this clever girl's wicked imagination, Ali Baba would never have escaped the schemes of the treacherous thieves.

So Sexy!

I like the colors in this one, and I LOVE the movement of her costume.

November?

I'm not sure which Month this could be. November is a good suggestion because of the palette.

November, or maybe August.

I like the colors, the lighting and the whole atmosphere. Very nice. Come to our critique group in August and invite any friends you think might be interested! Lots of fun!

Thank you for your comments Shawna and Gina. It's nice to see that the page is drawing some attention, other than family members and friends.

The fun thing about the color on this one, is that I really didn't do a color comp before I started painting. I usually try a few rough ideas first just to make sure the palette in my head looks as good on the paper as I thought it would. This time, I knew I wanted to use red as her main color and warm colors for the background, but I kind of just did it as I painted. Don't recommend doing it all the time, but it was fun to just take the risk.

Working on Frog Princess, Rapunzel, Cinderella, and the Snow Queen. Can't guarantee who will be finished first.

Thanksfor the comments Priyanshu,
Morgiana is still one of my favorite paintings in the series as well. It's funny because I had a completely different pose for her and was all set to paint that one, until I looked back to some sketches I made while I was visiting India. I found a little thumbnail that i had forgotten but I tried drawing it larger, and that turned into the painting you now see. Hooray!
please add me to you list. I would be honored to be there.
